Indiana State Rep. Phillip “Phil” Hinkle, 64,, a Republican who recently voted for a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage, solicited 18 yr old male escort Kameryn Gibson according to emails obtained by (video) The Indianapolis Star.
Hinkele placed an ad on Craigslist under the banner M4M under casual encounters, firstname.lastname@example.org wrote, “cannot be a long time sugar daddy but can for tonight. Would you be interested in keeping me company for a while tonight? I am in shape married professional, 5’8, fit 170 lbs, and love getting and staying naked.”
The two negotiated over a price to meet of $140.00 and a tip and arranged to rendezvous at the JW Marriott Hotel.
After their encounter at the Marriott Gibson’s sister picked him up where heated words were exchanged and Hinkle offered his iPad, a Blackberry and $100 in cash to quiet them and they accepted it.
Gibson was later barraged by calls from Hinkle and his family offering as much as $10,000 for their silence.
Asked if he was aware of the emails, Hinkle told the paper, “I am aware of a shakedown taking place.”
“We request that everyone respect the privacy of the family at this time.”
