Madonna’s Daughter Lourdes Starts Her First Day of Public School

Madonna’s daughter Lourdes Leon 13 attended her first day of public school at LaGuardia High School of Music & Art in New York City.

According to the New York Daily News:

Lourdes, who looked around warily for photographers, declined to comment as she headed in with the rest of the Class of 2014.

There was no sign of Madonna.

“I saw Lourdes in the morning and in the cafeteria,” said a fellow freshman. “She was talking to people. … She blends in with everyone. She seems like a normal person.”

The teenage Lourdes, still sporting her braces, is reportedly in the drama department – a track intended to prepare students for an acting career.

Ninth-grade drama students at the exclusive school – which served as the inspiration for the movie “Fame” – are required to take classes in acting, dance, voice and diction, improvisation and theater history.

Some classmates were keen on mingling with the famous teen, but they didn’t want to seem too eager.

“I don’t want to be like, ‘Your mom’s a celebrity,'” said her fellow first-year student. “But if the occasion arises, I’d definitely talk to her.”
